Travis and Bethany Married!: Buzzard’s Roost – Fall Creek Falls

Nathan and I are days away from relocating to Florida and closing out our lives in Tennessee. When I began my career in photography, I had no idea how long it would last or how far it would take me. Over the years I’ve had the great opportunity to photograph many friends. There’s something about being the “fly on the wall” for someone’s big day that leaves an impression on my heart for a long time. There are so many emotions that occur during a wedding day, watching individuals often at their most vulnerable state, it’s hard not to love the couples I photograph. I was so honored and grateful to spend my last days in TN with my friend of over 20 years Bethany. I can’t imagine anyone that deserves more happiness than Bethany. I truly believe that she has found happiness in Travis who will make a wonderful partner for life. Bethany and Travis have known each other since high school, crushing on each other, but the timing was never right. After many years, fate took a hand and they reconnected at a time when they both needed someone to lean on. Their love story is beautiful and they found a perfect spot at Fall Creek Falls to exchange their vows. On top of Buzzard’s Roost, immediate family gathered to witness the marriage ceremony of Bethany and Travis. Congratulations and best wishes to my best friend and Travis! I can’t wait to see where this life takes them! Here are some of my favorite images from a most perfect day. This post completes me :) Isn’t Bethany GORGEOUS?! Bethany’s mom was getting a little emotion and just like Bethany often does for her friends, she gave her mom a little pat and told her with a smile, “It’s going to be okay.” ;) Bethany’s brother Lance walked Bethany down the aisle where her father awaited to perform the ceremony. Love it! I love that Bethany’s dad is watching Travis’ reaction as Bethany walks towards them.  Oh goodness! Get me a tissue!  A moment of silence to remember Travis’ mother who I know was there in spirit. It was a gorgeous evening! First kiss as man and wife :) OH SWOON! How beautiful is THIS?! For all the photographer’s out there, all these pictures were achieved with off-camera flash since we didn’t have a lot of light to work with post-ceremony.  Special thanks to Lance and Tanner for assisting me with these set-ups ;) We were SO LUCKY to have gotten such a colorful sunset that evening AND to be facing the right direction.  LOVE LOVE LOVE! Oh and a lovely picture of the bride and groom with my assistants, a.k.a Bethany’s brother and his girlfriend Tanner ;) THANK YOU, THANK YOU! A classic Bethany face below on the right, right?!
The party continued on until the AM hours but I fell asleep in my clothes on a bed upstairs. LOL!  Typical.

Congratulations! Such a beautiful place for a wedding and the Lord gave you excellent weather. You probably don’t remember me…I am a long time friend of your dad.

Hi there!! The pictures from this wedding at Buzzard’s Roost are gorgeous! I was wondering where the reception was held? I’m really familiar with that area and I’ve never seen that building.

    Thank you so much!!
