Leigh Anne and Derek Engaged!

I love when I get to reunite with people of my past and see how far they’ve come! Leigh Anne and I went to the same school GPS.  She was a few years younger than me but I remember her walking through the hallways.  When you go to a school for 6 years and each grade is usually no more than 100 people, you eventually learn the first and last names of a lot of people, if they have siblings in other classes, and perhaps their extra-curricular activity of choice.  Leigh Anne was a member of Terpsichord, a modern dance group at GPS.  Obviously, she did not take my approach to the free-style portion of auditions, running around the room leaping and ending in an ultra-modern froggy pose.

Let me tell ya . . . “cricket, cricket” heard round the room.  LOL! Perhaps I should have gone with my coffee-grinder move.  *Sigh* . . . oh well . . . I’m glad that Leigh Anne got her shot at the dance group.  haha! As for Derek, LOVE HIM!  The minute he got out of the car, he shook my hand, introducing himself, and we immediately began chatting.  These two were up for anything and took direction like pros!  My husband who joined us for the latter portion of their session even said, “I like them. They’re personable as well as impressive.” I have to say, I agree! Here are a few of my favorite moments from their session:
