Kevin and Brittany Married!: Lindsay Street Hall – Chattanooga, TN

Every time I make a blog post, I feel like I’m unveiling a big surprise like a newly, remodeled room. This may be my favorite part of my job, the presentation of my labor. It’s exciting and nerve-wracking the moment I press the “publish” button on my dashboard. “Is it everything they hoped it would be and more?!” I wonder. “Did I pine over the right details, share the right moments . . . will the bride think this is a good picture of herself?” These are all the things that I consider when making a post because I truly do care about the people I photograph. Kevin and Brittany are no exception. Although Kevin (like many guys) is never too thrilled

by camera attention, I found him “letting go” of this feeling many times throughout the day. I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen Kevin look at Brittany the way he did on their wedding day. And I’ve known them as a couple for years! As I was editing through their photos, I found myself saying, “Aww! He loves her! He really does love her!” Despite the mid-day torrential downpour, Brittany and Kevin kept their spirits up to match the sunshine that followed at their reception at Lindsay Street Hall. Here are some of my favorite images from their day. We’ll begin our story with Brittany and her bridesmaids at Salon Haven.

Back at the church, Brittany gets her dress on.Loved how Brittany’s dress bustled! And such a great fabric for summer! It literally started pouring the rain just as we were supposed to start pictures. However, I’m totally in love with some of the shots we got indoors. Brittany looked so gorgeous!Flowers by Grafe Studios . . .Next up . . . Brittany and Kevin’s first look.  It was a risky lighting move to set their pictures up this way.  However, this is exactly what I saw in my mind. I love that you can see the rain drops on the window and that it looks kind of dark and cozy. I wouldn’t trade these pictures for the world! Kinda glad it rained now. haha! After the first look, we ventured as far as the front doors of St. Peter and Paul’s. It was still raining but a little natural light was nice :)Loved the green Brittany chose for her bridesmaids to wear!Ceremony beginnings . . . such cute kids :)
I loved this part of the ceremony. I think it made everyone feel accountable and involved in the union of these two. The long embrace after their first kiss spoke volumes. Sweet moment.Walking over to Lindsay Street Hall . . . how convenient! Some reception details . . .Sexy . . . and a little mysterious ;)Nothing like a nice fist pump for your introduction . . . haha! And the crowd goes wild . . . So happy!!!! Father-daughter dance . . .Grandfather-granddaughter dance . . .Mother-son dance . . .A toast by Kevin’s dad . . . LOL! Oh Brittany . . . *sigh* . . .Adore this next shot! Look at their faces! Precious! So much is going on in this next one.  It totally cracks me up!
Moses gone fishin’Greg always makes it into my blog posts if he’s at a wedding.  He’s quite entertaining ;)
The girls of Chi-O!And they’re off to happily ever after!Special thanks to Mike Key Entertainment for keeping the party going, Impressions Catering for the great food, and Jill from Jill Allen:Weddings and Catering for coordinating and keeping us all on cue!
