Working with Katie and Ike has already been a fun adventure! Earlier this month, Nathan and I met up with this cute couple in Slocomb, AL on Ike’s family farm for their engagement session. It was probably the most action his cows had seen for a while since they seemed quite interested in what we were doing and even approached us. While most of the cows preferred a little camera time, one cow decided that my step ladder was far more entertaining, sniffing, licking, and knocking it over. I’m not sure who amused who more? Either way, it was a close race in humans versus cows and made for a memorable evening.
Katie and Ike met in high school and have been together now for SEVEN years! Ike said he knew he had to seal the deal once he found out that Katie was going to pharmacy school ;) Smart man and smart lady! haha! I love that their love runs long and deep. We can’t wait to photograph this couple again at their December wedding!
Their dog Millie was amazingly sweet! So glad she made it to the shoot :)
This cow was cracking me up! She’s finally going to get her 15 minutes of fame!
Katie and Ike, just so you know, this is EXACTLY what your human children will do on shoot one day too. LOL! You’ll be pleading with them to “please stand straight and smile.” hahaha!
What a fun little evening I had photographing this family. Not only was the temperature outside quite optimal for this time of year, but the light was gorgeous and golden! The ages of these little ones made for an active session. One has just started walking (at a brisk pace I should add) and the other couldn’t wait to show off his lightning speed running skills. Unlike when I’m working with my wedding couples, I don’t have much time to review the images I’m getting from the back of my camera. Little ones keep me on my toes and my camera glued to my face. haha! Any and every second could be an opportunity for the perfect shot. After getting home and reviewing what I DID capture, I was quite pleased with the results :) I adore this family and hope these images will be cherished for many years to come! Here are a few of my favorites from our time together: Big brother was getting everyone tickled. LOL! So cute! BROS.
